Orientation on Social Activities

The Committee for Social Activities, Jayantian Extension Services, Kristu Jayanti University, organised an Orientation on Social Activities on 13 August 2026 at the A2 Auditorium, Airport Road Campus. The programme aimed to introduce students to the importance of social responsibility, community engagement and service-oriented initiatives. The session highlighted how students can contribute meaningfully to society through volunteering, empathy, teamwork and active participation in community outreach programmes.

The orientation provided students with an understanding of the objectives and scope of the Committee for Social Activities and encouraged them to identify community needs and participate in initiatives that promote social well-being and responsible citizenship. The programme successfully reached 180 students, who benefited from the orientation and gained greater awareness of the importance of social engagement and community service.

The session also emphasised that meaningful service extends beyond material contributions. Students were encouraged to contribute their time, knowledge, skills and compassion towards creating positive change in the community.

The programme marked the beginning of a series of social engagement initiatives planned by the Committee during the academic year. Through these activities, students will have opportunities to develop leadership, communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills while cultivating a strong sense of social responsibility.

The orientation successfully created awareness and enthusiasm among students, setting the foundation for a culture of service, empathy and community participation at Kristu Jayanti University.
