CSA along with NCC and NSS under JES held VAN MAHOTSAVA a festival of tree plantation in association with the Koti Vruksha Sainya at GTS Tower, Jakkur Lake. The program was inaugurated by Fr. Emmanuel P J , director of Jayantian Extension Services by planting a sapling " it is our responsibility to secure and pass on nature for the coming generations " he said. Followed by the volunteers consuming 3hr of time where each and every volunteer present there planted a sapling under the guidance of Koti Vruksha team volunteers. The total of 70 saplings were planted which wouldn't have been possible without the complete team work and efforts. The complete program was held following all the covid protocols very strictly.

Van Mahotsava, a festival of tree plantation is organized to instill the value of social responsibility among students for safeguarding trees and forests. Centre for Social Activities of Kristu Jayanti College had organized “Van-Mahotsava” on 25 August 2018 at K. Narayanapura. The event created an enthusiasm among students towards preservation of forest and planting of trees, as “trees mean water, water means bread and bread is life”. This program would gift a green environment to the coming future. Around 100 CSA volunteers along with CSA staff coordinators planted 30 saplings. The event also helped to bring awareness about the green cover around us. Students got to learn a lot and will always cherish the memories of this important occasion.

Centre for Social Activities of Kristu Jayanti College organized Van Mahotsav on 8th July 2017 at Nagenahalli Lake. Rev. Fr. Emmanuel P J was the chief guest and he motivated the students through his presence and made the event a successful one with his ideas to plant the saplings. There were 150 volunteers present at the event and they were planted 100 saplings. CSA faculty coordinators, Prof. Manjunath S, Prof. Padmanagendra R, Prof. Naveen G, Prof. Ragavendrababu J, Prof. Preethi S.J.G and Prof. Excelce supported and guided the event to great success. The event was a very efficient one it helped in building the skill and interest of the students about the environment protection. The event created an enthusiasm among students towards preservation of forest and planting of trees, as “trees mean water, water means bread and bread is life”. Centre for Social Activities of Kristu Jayanti College had organised “Van-Mohotsava” on 9th July 2016 at Nagenahalli Lake Belt. Around 250 CSA volunteers and 100 NCC cadets along with Staff coordinators planted 85 saplings around the lake. Mr. Lokesh, Nagenahalli village head appreciated students for taking up a noble initiative. The event created an enthusiasm among students towards preservation of forest and planting of trees, as “trees mean water, water means bread and bread is life”. This program would gift a green environment to the coming future.

“If a tree is saved at a cost of one’s head, it’s worth it”, said the noted activist Amrita Devi Bishoni. Centre for Social Activities celebrated Van Mahotsav on 11th July 2015, at Primary Health Centre, Bagalur. CSA volunteers assembled at 9.30a.m and were divided into groups of five. The groups planted saplings and nourished the planted saplings, under the guidance and supervision of CSA staff coordinators Mr.Manjunath S Gowda & Mr. Ragavendra Babu. 79 volunteers actively participated. Van Mahotsava was not only an event to plant tree & saplings, it rather turned out to be a great & splendid event, it nourished the relationship among the students to work as a team for the betterment of society and environment. This program created awareness among the students and emphasized on the importance of growing trees.
