Christmas Spectacular 2024: Celebrating the Joy of the Season

The Literary and Cultural Association of Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University) celebrated the festive spirit of Christmas with Christmas Spectacular 2024 on 21st December at the Jubilee Auditorium. The event brought together students, faculty, and staff, creating an atmosphere filled with warmth, joy, and togetherness.

The celebration was graced by the Chief Guest, Fr. Prashant Madtha S J, whose inspiring presence added great value to the occasion. The program featured a captivating Christmas play, vibrant dance performances, and melodious carol singing by the students. Each performance beautifully reflected the true essence of Christmas, spreading festive cheer and uniting the Jayantian family.

The event was also honored by the presence of distinguished dignitaries including Rev. Fr. Dr. Augustine George, Fr. Dr. Lijo P. Thomas, Fr. Emmanuel P.J., Fr. Jais V. Thomas, and Fr. Deepu Joy.

Faculty members, postgraduate students, students from the Law College, and administrative staff actively participated, making the celebration a memorable gathering filled with joy and festive spirit.


Once Upon A Tune 2020: A Musical of Hope
Date: 18 December 2020
The Christmas celebration titled Once Upon A Tune was held on 18th December 2020 as a musical production by the Kristu Jayanti College Choir, centered around the theme “Hope is Born.”

The program creatively narrated the story of a young child encountering Santa Claus and rediscovering the magic of Christmas through music and memories. The performances filled the audience with a sense of hope and joy during a challenging time.

Fr. James Narithooki delivered a heartfelt Christmas message, encouraging everyone to become messengers of peace and work together towards a better world.

Rev. Fr. Dr. Augustine George also addressed the gathering, emphasizing the values of hope, love, and thoughtfulness during the festive season.

Despite the pandemic, the celebration reached a global audience, with thousands tuning in via YouTube Live, making it a truly inclusive and uplifting event.


Once Upon A Tune 2019: Exploring the “Love Theory”
Date: 18 December 2019
The 2019 edition of Once Upon A Tune was held at the S.K.E Auditorium with the theme “Love Theory.” The event showcased a harmonious blend of music and storytelling, encouraging the audience to reflect on the deeper meaning of love.

The Jayantian Choir, led by Mr. Prujeeth Joshua, presented a series of soulful performances including classics like “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen,” “Silent Night,” and “Feliz Navidad.”

The songs were seamlessly interwoven with a student-written and directed skit, creating a meaningful and engaging experience for the audience.


Once Upon A Tune 2018: Joy to the World
Date: 19th December, 2018
The 2018 edition of Once Upon A Tune was organized with the theme “Joy to the World.” Held at the SKE Auditorium, the program featured two shows and brought together music, dance, and theatre in a vibrant celebration.

The storyline followed a young student’s journey of discovering joy amidst loneliness, beautifully complemented by popular Christmas carols such as “Silent Night,” “Hark the Herald Angels Sing,” and “Joy to the World.”

Rev. Fr. Augustine George and Rev. Fr. Josekutty P.D shared meaningful messages highlighting the importance of love, compassion, and the true spirit of Christmas.

The celebration stood as a lively and heartfelt expression of unity, joy, and festive cheer on campus.
