Investiture Ceremony

The inauguration of Kalajyoti, Academic and Co-Curricular Clubs and Associations and the Investiture Ceremony was conducted at the Jubilee Auditorium in Kristu Jayanti College, Autonomous, Bengaluru on 28th August 2023. Organised and conducted by the Literary and Cultural Association, the programme witnessed the badging ceremony of student coordinators for different clubs and associations.

The inaugural address by the Principal, Fr. Dr. Augustine George who emphasized the importance of the support of the student community in the growth of the institution. The relevance of their character, composition, and collective merit in the success of their responsibility was highlighted.

The Investiture Ceremony officiated the 94 student coordinators for different clubs and associations who were formally given their badges. The Principal, Fr. Dr. Augustine George and the chief guest Mr. Clive Vanbuerle did the honours of formally distributing the badges.

The chief guest of the day, stressed the importance of opportunities that the roles and responsibilities will provide for them. He encouraged students to envision the future with their highest ambitions and make everyone proud of their achievements.

A memento was presented to the chief guest as a token of appreciation and the curtain was drawn on the Investiture Ceremony 2023.

The inauguration of Kalajyoti, Academic and Co-Curricular clubs and associations and the Investiture ceremony was conducted at the SKE auditorium in Kristu Jayanti College, Bangalore on 7th September 2022. Organised and conducted by the Literary and Cultural Association, the programme witnessed the badging ceremony of student coordinators for different clubs and associations.

The programme commenced with a prayer and a welcome note by Prof. Shilpa Rao, the LCA coordinator, who welcomed the gathering on the solemn occasion. It was followed by the Presidential address by the Principal Rev. Dr Augustine George who reminded the students about the importance of leadership and the significance of the roles entrusted to them by the college. The importance of their character, composition, and collective excellence in the success of their responsibility was emphasized.

Dr Nelson Michael, Head, Department of Research officiated the Investiture ceremony in which almost 93 student coordinators from 38 different clubs and associations were installed with badges. Rev. Dr Augustine George and the chief guest, Ms. Tammy Ben-Haim (the Consul General of Israel) did the honours of formally distributing the badges to the newly elected LCA student secretaries Mr. Chris Sebastian, Mr. Abin Mathew Robby, Ms. Stuti Sharma and other student coordinators. This was followed by the oath taking of the newly elected student coordinators led by Mr. Reon George, President of the student council. The lighting of the lamp ceremony which followed marked the formal inauguration of Kalajyoti 2022 and the Investiture Ceremony.

The chief guest of the day, Ms. Tammy Ben-Haim (Consul General of Israel) related the necessity of good leadership to better the conditions of the state. She was very impressed with the significance provided by Kristu Jayanti college to its student leaders and she was enamoured particularly by the number of girl students heading different committees. She concluded the Inaugural address by underlining the significance of perseverance, excellence in attaining the true purpose in life. A memento was presented to the chief guest by Rev. Dr. Augustin George as a token of appreciation.

The eventful day was concluded by a vote of thanks by Ms. Swetha M.A, the vice-president of student council which was followed by the college anthem.

The chief guest of the day, Prof. Dr. Y.S.R. Murthy (Vice-Chancellor, RV University, Bengaluru) stressed the importance of leadership qualities through several anecdotes. He encouraged students to have a dream and inspired the student leaders to create trust among their fellow students and to be sellers of hope and positivity. He concluded the Inaugural address by underlining the significance of perseverance and excellence in attaining the true purpose in life. A memento was presented to the chief guest as a token of appreciation and the curtain was drawn on the Investiture Ceremony  2021.

The investiture ceremony for the year 2020-2021 was celebrated on the online zoom platform. On the momentous day of 5 October 2020, the Ceremony began with an opening speech by the Principal, Rev. Fr. Augustine George followed by the prominent oath taking ceremony by the office bearers. The elected student leaders’ profile was displayed on screen. Dr. Bijayalakshmi Nanda, Principal Miranda House, Delhi, the chief guest for the day, emphasized on how Empathy can bring out the best in a leader and the trivial ignorance of the people in recognition of humanity in equal terms by requesting the use of the terms “sorority” and “sisterhood” along with fraternity and brotherhood.

The literary & cultural association of Kristu Jayanti College organized the Investiture Ceremony for the : 30 Student Office Bearers of Academic, Co-curricular clubs and Associations & 494 LCA class representatives and class representatives from UG Programmes for the academic year 2019-2020 on 27th July 2019. Dr. R. Srinivasan , Registrar, Bangalore University, North was the chief guest for the ceremony.

The appointed office bearers were honored with the golden badges during the ceremony followed by an oath of allegiance

The literary & cultural association of Kristu Jayanti College organized the Investiture Ceremony for the : 56 Student Office Bearers of Academic, Co-curricular clubs and Associations & 494 LCA class representatives and class representatives from UG Programmes for the academic year 2018-2019 on 17th July 2018. Prof. Sundar Raj Urs, Registrar, Bangalore University, North was the chief guest for the ceremony.

Dr. Calistus Jude, Dean, Faculty of Sciences & staff coordinator of the LCA, welcomed the gathering. Rev.Fr. Josekutty P.D, Principal, Kristu Jayanti College, congratulated the student office bearers & reiterated the responsibilities vested on the student council & office bearers.

The appointed office bearers were honored with the golden badges during the ceremony followed by an oath of allegiance. “Performance comes only if you struggle to reach your end goal” said Prof. Sundar Raj Urs.

The investiture ceremony for the year was held on 12th July 2017. The presidential address was delivered by Rev. Fr. Josekutty P.D., Principal, Kristu Jayanti College Autonomous. The Chief Guest of the day was Mr. Chris Pohl, CEO, Ammirato Food Pvt. Ltd. This ceremony marked the official administering of responsibilities and oath taking of the office bearers. Student representatives from various departments in UG were chosen and given the responsibility of representing various clubs and association of our college.

The chief guest highlighted on the importance of being a leader and highlighted the skills set that are required for the same. Fr. Josekutty P.D, Principal highlighted on the efficiency and effectiveness of a leader and also emphasized on the importance of doing the right things at the right time.

The investiture ceremony for the year 2016 was inaugurated by Mr. Balaji Iyer, Associate Director and KM Leader, Grant Thornton LLP. The inauguration of various clubs and associations took place on the 11th of July, 2016. Student representatives from various departments in UG were chosen and given the responsibility of representing various clubs and association of our college.

The investiture ceremony for the year 2015 was inaugurated by Mr. Mikael De La Fuente, Director of Alliance Francaise, Bangalore. The inauguration of various clubs and associations took place on the 15th of July, 2015. Student representatives from various departments in UG were chosen and given the responsibility of representing various clubs and association of our college.
